deadening looks good so far.

some people use foam ontop afterwards for the doors. Like the stuff RAAM audio has... its not really necessary, though.

More deadening going in tomorrow... it'll be completely covered through the door panels and up around the rear windows. Hopefully get some MDF 6.5" speaker enclosures made tomorrow as well.

wait a minute! which creston S-10 are you? are you the blue one with the shallow mount subs?

Smart move to deaden the whole vehicle from the start. Have you considered plastic instead of MDF for the door speakers? They are stronger, won't expand when wet and don't promote rot.

^ i think plastic will vibrate too much. I'd say using mdf and covering it with fiberglass resin would be the best bet.

We use Hushmat on the plastic. It works really well.

Hey Jo-Psyko... yeah i am the blue regular cab S-10 from creston... this is my other truck, I decided to pick up an extended cab in order to give me more options for a nicer install.

The lower portion of the door panels will be made out of MDF.. for the acoustic properties and ease of fabrication... after they are built, I plan on covering them with fiberglass resin and painting them black. everything else is deadened with B-quiet material.

Just got the entire truck deadened today other than the passenger door panel, I installed some of the plastic trim in the back of the truck around the windows today too... next step after the door panels will be building a box for the 2 12" clarion signature series subs with an integrated amp rack on the top. I'll keep updating for the next couple of days as things start to come together.

Thanks for the comments and ideas so far :)
