98 montero...replacing system PLS help!!
#1
hey guys...1998 mitsubisi montero.... the OEM deck is a external amp configuration...it has a radio and tape deck and the OEM stereo amp is hidden somewhere within the car...i have looked for a week at dealerships and other sites and have had no luck finding it...that is without trying up the whole car looking for it
My question is..the OEM amp is 200watts pushing the STOCK 2 back speakers, two side speakers, and 2 woofer/tweater setups.....the mp3/cd player i just purchased from sony is a 200Watt internal amp...
what is the best way to set up my car? is it....
A.) Buy the special harness which uses the plug for OEM amp and turns them into RCA jacks which then plug into the new SONY deck...in which the 200watts from the SONY doesnt do anything and the OEM montero external amp pushes all the speakers..
B.) find the OEM Montero amp, bridge the front or rear speakers together. Then find the wires for the rest of the speakers and rewire them to the new SONY deck that pushes 200watts....
this way 4 speakers are going to the SONY and the other other for follow the original path through the OEM 200watt amp
c.) I have no clue and need suggestions =)
PLEASE HELP
thanks guys
