AAftermarket Stereo for Chevy Venture '03; Module Needed?
 

Hi guys I recently bought a Venture but the CD player isn't working so I'm trying to install a standard Pioneer single DIN stereo. The shops I've been to say I need a $180 PAC module for he warning chimes. I have found it on eBay for $80 but do I really need it? Would a dash kit and a wire harness be enough if I don't care about the chime or is it the only way to go?

Unfortunately the interface module is needed, the vehicle supports class 2 data. Spend the $80 it will save you headaches down the road.

Crap Tire shows a module available for $45. Can't tell you if it works or how good it is though. Can't imagine it's any worse then the Scosche stuff though.....
