alpine head unit problem

ive just gotten my head unit fixed by alpine i put it back in my car the right way with the screw in the back and it still jumps. is there anything im doing wrong? could it be i have to add an extra fan so the radio stays cool? could this be because the radio gets hot and it starts skipping? thnx for the help

are you talking about the CD skipping? radios don't usually jump.

My alpine has had a CD skip twice, in about a year of use. And those were pretty hard bumps.

I also had 2 CD's that skip no matter where i play them, but thats not alpines fault.

If it skips, take it back.

ive gotten it repaired and its a cda 9811. it doesnt skip on all the bumps at first but i live in mtl and the roads r really bad. on the overpass out of 3 metal grooves that hold the overpass p the cd skips twice. its a really ncie radio i love it. alpine said those generations were one of the ones that were built the best. what can i do the solve the problem?

Take away it's skipping rope? Are you running subs at the same time? Are the shocks on your car totally worn out?

ya im running a pair of alpine type r subs with a alpine mrd m605 amp. i dont think my shocks are worn out but could that be the problem why my radio skips on certain bumps? the car has only been out in the summer for 21 yrs.
