so im in the middle of installing my new amp, and second battery and other crap and i have my power wire hooking up to my battery relay, then battery relay to fuse to pos. batt. (have fuse on alternator) then i have knu rcas with the remote wire on it, so ill connect another wire on the remote to connect to my relay, then from my battery pos to my amp do i need a fuse? if so how big of a fuse

 

anyone? need an answer asap finishing my instal today

 

Yes you should have one...a fuse of the amps's rating will protect the wire and the amp at the same time.

 

okay, even tho there is the fuses on the amp and then my amp will be abotu a foot and a half away from the battery. and there is already the 2 fuses on the wire from front to back for the second battery. what size fuse do i need?

 

if its only a foot away you can use the same size fuse that the amp has. for example if it has 2 30 amp fuses use a 60.

 

awsome thanks yeah its around a foot the amp and bat are in the trunk and its a car so not far, and i fused it with my old inline from my other amp kit it had a 60 so ill be good i hope
