Alright, my Kenwood KAC-9102D amp has Two(2) 30A fuses on the back. Should I be putting a 30A or 60A fuse in my distrubtion block slot that runs to that amp?

You should use 60Amp

 

I would have said use a 40

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the two 30 amp fuses for each separate side of the amp? Therefore you just need to match one of them plus a little more for good measure

 

60 would be a little more for good measure...I am in agreeance, I think 60 would be good...

 

Well in this case its a monoblock and if it were a 2 channel each side at full tilt would pull 30 a side which overall equals 60.

 

I would also use a 60 amp fuse

 

lets see full power each amp needs 30 amps ..............ok ...........how can a 40 give you a 60 when you need it
so 2x30=? would it be 60

 

Sorry but i have a similar question, got 80x2 on my hifonics 1605d but i only have a 60amp on the battery for that amp .... it only blew one time when i had bass boost on...btw i am running the amp at full load (1ohm)

Its prob cause i only have a 65 amp alt looool

 

it only blew......................then i need to get a new fuse and if you are at a show what do you do ?

 

i got 4 extra in the car, and i dont do shows.
