Do you guys think 1 large fan will push enough air through the box? it will be about 20 x 15 x 5. (The 5" height DOESN'T include the the tunnel that goes underneath for the chain to be looped around)

 

how large is a large fan?

 

should be..., could always use a Push-Pull method. Have a fan blowing in, and on the other end, have one blowing the air out...

Thieves could still take it, if they know it is in the large box that doesn't belong in a Blazer chained and locked to the floor. Buy an alarm, it may not stop them but it will annoy them. Use security screws and bolt the amp to the frame so the protective box is just a 'cage'. The goal is to slow the thief down, thieves hate slow.

The push pull fan is not a bad idea, as Protoge5 mentioned the maximum air flow will not increase but the head loss (opposition to air flow) is the main issue. it gives a safety margin as well in case one fan fails.

 

That is exactly why it will be chained down, the bolts the chains will be locked to are almost impossible to get off. (i used one for my ground and it took me almost 15 min to undo it)

 

Plus, i can use the chain to pull my all my friends cars out of the ditch [img]smile.gif[/img]

 

just fasten razor blades and nails all around your amp and all your audio equipment.. but make sure you park in a diff spot after that cause after gettin out of the hospital that thief is gonna come lookin for the car that nearly killed him

 

Just alarm and insure, you'ed be suprised how well you'll sleep at night, lol
Allthough its a pretty cool idea, would keep the amp safe from scratches and other cargo kind of damage as well....
All i do is screw everything down and then round the screw out with a drill bit so's no screwdriver will ever be able to take it out, i use a dremel with a cutoff wheel to remove when needed.
