Amplifier install question

I installed my amp to work on 2 ohms bridged. The amp seems to heat up on every setting i place it on is this normal for an amp? or does it mean theres something wrong with it? Is there anything i can do to counter this effect?

All amps produce heat. As long as its not so hot that it creates a fire hazzard you should be ok. My amps get very hot to the touch daily with no problems at all.

What amp is it? Not clear from your sig.

MOST amps won't do 2 ohms bridged.

Also, consider the weather. I think that factors into the equation a bit. I dont know what the weather is like in Brampton, but here in Ottawa, its been above 30 everyday for a week (and above 25 for the last month) with the humidity bringing into the high 30's/low 40's. If you dont have AC in your car (or the amps are in the trunk), thats a lot of heat being generated.

Its not going to make a HUGE difference, but I would say it helps the heat of the amps along a little bit.

Pretty much the same problem with my amp but it also produces a smell(WHAT's UP WITH THAT?),I'm in a hatchback, I'm also considering a kenwood exelon 201t(600w) it's now a clarion apa2001(400w) the kenwood has it's own cooling fan so it should't get too hot or smell(right?) The sub is a kenwood 12" and I'm pretty sure that's not what is smelling.
