Look for a rubber gromet on the fire wall that you can go through. Check around the main harness or steering column. Be sure to be very careful when making a slice/hole not to damage anything on the harness or the opposite side. Or if you are skilled enough drill a hole in a clear spot on both engine and interior sides and use a rubber gromet to avoid the wire from getting shorted.

ok found a way through the firewall now whats the best way to run though the interior of the car? signal wires are easy so i can run them after the power wire to make sure they keep their distence

On my cavaliers, the last one was a 97, I always ran the power through the big rubber washer around the steering column.
Then run down the drivers side, under the moulding, under the back seat into the trunk. back seat snaps out easily.

I also run the signal (RCA) lines down the middle under the carpet. Shorter and iyt keeps signal away from all the noisy power and control lines athat are already all over under the dash and down both sides.

If that amp is 1200 w rms, you need better than 4 ga. If its 1200 Max, get real. it depends on how you hook it up. 600 wrms @ 2 ohm?, yes 4 will work.
