How in the world do I replace the 6x9's someone said something about having to come at them from the top but I can't see where to get the top off.
You have to remove the top carpeted panel .To make it easier if you remove the rear 1/4 glass panels the deck lid panel covering your 6x9's will be easy.
well in my 97 you have to drop teh back seat pull off teh 4 little black pin like things and slide teh top out. very dificult and a big pain in teh butt. and its very easy to damage it.
I was told if I just remove the plate it'll be a huge mess. However if i remove the entire back seat O.o it'll be a piece of cake but a pain in the rear
the seat can stay - the trim pieces on each side behind the seat come out first, then the top slides forward.
Any chance on gettin a diagram ?
doubt it... but usually the $40 you pay a shop is worth it

Another reason to upgrade the fronts instead, much easier to work on!
I agree with both Dukk and DWVW on this one.
A good 6.5" comp set in the front, adequately powered, and a good sound deadened door will be quite nice. I have some experience on this one. ;) Of course if you don't want to hear that, like Duck said, drop the back seat and take out the side plastic trim pieces and the cover will come out easily. |
well nto easily in my case. plu sputting it back in can be dificult. jsut make sur eyou take teh seat belts out of the top piece before you try and pull it out haha
