I just ordered 100 feet of b-quiet extreme from ebay and I was wondering if I should attempt to install it this winter in a unheated garage or if I should just pay a installer to do it for me??? Will it stick in the cold???? And if I use hair dryer or heat gun, will it just fall off because of the cold once it freezes?? Anyone who has done this in the winter any advice would be awesome!! I definatly need to get this stuff installed ASAP as my car is sounding like the tin man in a hail storm!!

Dude. Good choice, this stuff rocks. The value is good as it is sticky. Unfortunatly, It just doesn't work in Canadian Winter Outside for installations that well. You could pay an installer to do it. But it's time consuming, and easy. Don't pay good money to pay someone else to do it. You'll just have to find a friend with a heated garage that you can use for a day or two. Perhaps where you work might have a shop or bay that's heated you could use on the weekend. Sound deadening in Canadian winter is frustrating, just like window tinting in winter.

Bryce, thanks man!! I was doing some thinking and after reading your post I think I am going to wait untill warming weather hits.... You could pull your car into your garage, and put a portable heater or 2 in the garage.. leave it for a bit to warm up, then have at it [img]smile.gif[/img] should do the job [img]smile.gif[/img]

Don't bother trying to apply it in the cold by warming up metal with a heat gun. It can't cure in the cold. At least I don't expect it to. You should ask B-Quiet, email them from the website.

I would definatly wait untill you have a good heated garage (let the car warm up to temperature) for a good few days or wait till the spring.

I wouldn't pay the going hourly shop rate to do something I could easily do in a few months time.

Use of a heat gun, no matter if the temp is hot or cold, works just fine. My eDead is more or less fine without even a heat gun, but just to ensure adhesion, it's best. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Don't worry about weather conditions. The stuff we work with is usually more tolerant of extreme temperature than we are. You and I would be more likely to die from the cold than the product were using to fail.

wait till its warm out man, if the panels are cold from being outside it wont adhere the best it possibly can.
