Hi Experts,

I just had this deck installed this weekend and I have encountered an odd and frustrating problem.

When I do a cold start of my car (and the deck powers up as well), the bluetooth function is messed up.

1) It does not connect with paired devices.

2) It does not even display a Bluetooth submenu anymore!

I can get it to connect only if I try manually connecting from the other bluetooth device, which in my case, is an iPhone 3G.

Manually powering down the unit and then powering it on again, however, fixes both those problems.

This behavior can be replicated 9/10 times. On the odd occasion, it will operate and connect as expected.

I tried switching the [supplied] JVC bluetooth dongle from the rear USB port to the front USB port, but that didn't make a difference.

I even tried using my own MSI bluetooth dongle instead. Same results.

If anyone has had a similar experience or can shed light as to what might be causing this to happen, I would greatly appreciate it.
