Brown Bread under the hood?

Is it advisable to allpy Brown Bread on the underside of the hood of the engine compartment?
Is it a fire hazard or has anyone tried this? Does it dampen the noise at all?

I have not used brown bread but the website clearly states that it can be used in all applications...even under the hood!

I would just be concerned due to the excessive heat that can be caused, and it is tar-based, so I wonder if something would happen, or even just stink furiously!

B-Quiet actually had H-liner which is a hood liner. Its designed specificslly for that purpose. Check it out.

The Hliner works excellently! If I were to use some brown bread or B-quiet extreme I would still do Hliner over it as it would be a way better absorber of noise as compared to brown bread or bq extreme which are good at mass loading or as a barrier.
