It's not a sealed back. But provisions have been made to help with that.

Hey John the pods are looking awesome, better then I could have even imagined, cant wait to have them in my car! I guess when I next come down to see you we will definatley have to explore the idea of possible mounting them in the kicks panels vs. the dash.

After seeing these things up close - You may want to consider the kicks.

Yeah I will have to see how they fit into the kicks on this car, I would still prefer to mount them up high if possible though.

I'm assuming you are worried about the baffel thickness and the basket openings for air movement.

If this is correct, you can see in one of the photos that I have made relief cuts in the MDF. But what you cannot is the countersink cut. There is very little (none really) air restriction behing the mid.

If you familiar with a router, how come you didn't just use a 45 chamfer bit when you 'back-relieved' the baffle ring to unobstruct the mid?
