can we go back ... ?
can we go back to to simple, classy, clean, non-airbrushed, not overdone and not over the top installs?

I like simple, clean, stealthy installs too.
I am not sure if you are arguing that the M3 install there is over the top, or that it is clean and classy, but I can see the merits for both arguments.
I understand why people go all out for 'show' installs , but that car probably couldnt be parked on the street too often before someone decided to liberate some of its high tech gadgetry.
I like stuff that is subtle, yet effective, I guess

Sure the collective we can go back to systems that are exotic yet non obtrusive rolling billboards. After all, it is not the public that demands all the wild bling crap but more the industry that is feeding it to them with a shovel...
I am hoping my next system will be the kind that the gangsta walks by but the enthusiast finds more interesting the longer they look at it

I think a good example of this is Steve Cornell's Impala or Tim Baillie's Regal. Both have similar construction, in that they use fiberglass for getting a factory looking curvy trunk, but it is covered with material that is more classy and alot more unobtrusive than painted glass. i have a feeling alot more cars will be going this route in IASCA competition.
sounds good to me...
i'm still figuring how to hide subs in the crooks of my roll bar myself...
I really like the high-end stuff, but again, all the damned screens and gizmos...(i know that show cars arent meant to be driven a lot)...
I wouldnt feel 'safe' parking my car or truck with a bunch of tricked-out screenage in it on the street..
hide it, hide it all...but make sure it slams..
