Looks a little like the design of Oakley's 02 Neon out in Kelowna, as far as the dash is concerned anyway. I like the idea about the coat hanger keeping the shape for the new tubing.

It will be a similar design for sure. I will be taking PL to the next level on this one though. His car did sound really nice, so I hope mine is in the same league when its all said and done.

I'm getting work done bit by bit here and I've decided on pretty much full disclosure when it comes to my install. There are too many car out there that hide their installs for that "voodoo" effect. I was going to do the same and not show how my mids and other speakers were install, but I've changed my mind. It won't help anyone learn anything by hiding all the good stuff. I wont show every detail, but if anyone has a question, I'm more then happy to answer as best I can.

I mentioned in an earlier post that I will be taking my PL to the next level. What I meant was that I'm cutting up my car to achieve better PL then would otherwise be achievable.

Here is a photo of my general mid location. You can see that Ive taken away a fair bit of metal here. But my PL are about 4" better on each side! I will be posting pics of my sub build soon.

is the structural integrity going to be an issue? i take it that you will be adding back a lot of metal once you decide on the actual location, but how are you going to do it so that the strentgh of the dash is what it should be? Do you expect to have an increase in the noise, vibration and harshness factor as a result?

None of the metal I'm cutting is structural (from what I can tell anyway). The mid's are being place inside the venting system of the car so they are well covered from the elements. The speaker baffles will not resonate, I'll see to that.

PL = Path Length. he is trying to equalize the distance from the listener to the speakers.

I ordered my amps a week or so back, and they came in on Christmas eve. Not a bad Christmas present to myself I think! ]
