The car Fozz built!!!
Here is a pic of the other Neon mentioned. The basic concept is the same. This one sounded good overall. I didn't like the material used on the dash, but I know it had its propose. The install was nice, simple and clean.
But I think mine will be better!!!!

my next project has just begun......it think it will be better than the neon sq wise but a far simpler install....its a 2008 mazda 5.........using a heavily modified factoy source and some other cool stuff.....hoping to have it completed in the next few months.....good luck with your build......it a pretty easy car to get sounding good.....what are you doing with the guages

I think you had one of the earlier Neon builds too
I have Autometer Guages. I looked at the Dokota, but I just liked the look of the big round Autometer units better.
I would say any car is easy to make sound good. But as most of you know, in IASCA, good is not enough to win. This car has to sound awesome, or I'm SOL.
Good luck to me

it been a very busy few years.....i guess lifetime bans have a shelflife,......becasue i dont feel like reading ten pages of this thread....what speakers are you using and where are you putting them..........btw fozz.....that pic of my neon looks like it was taken at finals....have i met you before
ahh yes the old fluid exchange program they have...
Your build is old enough to be stolen.... several times (take a look at the DLS builds at CES this year and there is a similarity). Good for one or two seat judging... the windshield is your friend too. With the Neon the PLD isn't too bad either... face it the Neon is a 'cheater car'

The photo was taken at the 2005 IASCA/USACi finals. My car was on the other side of the SQ area parked next to Mark Turners Neon (pioneer 12" in the dash).
I'm using All Hybrid Audio speaker in my car. The L1 Pro, L4 and L8 purchased through Sound Solutions. I can't say I'm using your Neon as inspiration, but it was the car that got me thinking it was possible to put a sub in the dash and not require a totally new dash design. One major difference is the amplifier locations and my lack of any subs beyond the one I'm putting in my dash.
