I use a test light as well,right or wrong it works just fine!

T=R*C
t=10000*1FARAD
T=10000 SECONDS or 166.6 minutes or 2.7 hours

2.7 hours * 5 time constants=13.8 hours, this is a long time .

u have to use a test light touch it your battery then to the cap and wait for the light to out
