Ok...I have an 89 Cavalier 2.8L.Right now I have a stock style 100amp CS Alt. in it and a 700cca Interstate battery thats about 3 1/2 yrs old.
I wnat to upgrade....cheap!!
LBKC says he could build me an alt. but would cost me a little bit...
Now..Something to remember...I work in an auto parts store..is there an another alt from maybe another car/truck that would be pretty well a direct bolt in(I dont mind having to spin the case if needed)..As well,I have had it suggested to me that I should put a smaller pulley on this one,but about the only time I see tha being of any use is when sitting at idle..if at all..your thoughts??
Also,I have an extra alternator here(I believe its 100 amp as well)..is there something I can do with it for cheap??
A guy at work put in a 850cca Delco Battery in his Sunbird..tight fit,but still fits in the fact. battery tray...your thoughts?
Thanks for any advise you guys might have..

Tell us what your needs are and if it is competition, what class you want to be in.

What do you want to spend? There are several upgs to be had from mild to extreme. Being in street I would invest in the battery, if you are worried about competition.
