I have a Clarion in dash DVD player and the DVD player will not play unless I connect one of the wires to the park break wiring...if the park break is not set on picture only sound. Is there any way around this so I can have the system run while driving so the wife has something to do on long trips.

You could find the wire that goes to the park break switch, and put it on a regular toggle switch and have that switch going to ground. IE Ground out the park break wire when you want to watch a DVD. Please note that I do not advise this and it is not legal in many provinces.

 

Thanks I might just run a wire from my battery to a switch.

 

Make sure you do not feed 12+ volt onto that line. instead of a line from the battery, just run a line somewhere to the car body of frame to a switch. Either way but if you choose the battery make sure to use the negative post.
