Ok. Here is my problem.
I have been using a cap for some while and I plan to use it because I built the amp rack to fit it, so please dont tell me to just get rid of it.

I have 4awg running from my battery into a fuseblock with a 40 amp fuse. That is then ran to another 4awg wire into my sub amp.

My question is, where does the positive lead come from? Should it come from the output of my fuseblock and then go into the cap, and run another line from the positive of the cap into the amp? Or should it go before the fuseblcok?

cap next to amp
cap holds power so amp can get power when need ,cap will then power up so the amp can get fast power and the car will not lose the power as a hit

in my set-up i have a pg 10f cap i do not need but it looks nice my last car(bmw)needed it or so i got one looking back i did not need it but i like it :)

Caps go inline as close to the (sub) amp as possible. You can run it off/to the distro block, but it really doesn't matter, as AC power will run to the block no matter where you set it up ('alternating' current)(however, it'll pretty much only be the sub amp pulling power from the cap). Cheers.
