I'm adding amps, subs, and x-over to my current system which is Pioneer 7600 head unit,Infinity reference 6x9's in the front doors & 6.5's in the back doors. It's in a Dodge Ram Quad Cab.I have a couple of older Rodek amps which I've been told are still very good quality and a Rodek electronic crossover.I was going to use the smaller amp for the 6x9's and the bigger one for the subs.It is a 3 way x-over.That would leave the 6.5's running off the deck. They would be running full range I believe. Is there any way around this.I don'y really understand how the built in x-over in the deck works. The manual is bit vague. What would my best way to go be.Thanks. Well, by the sounds of it you have 2 crossovers. One internally built into the deck, and the other as a seperate crossover piece.

My suggestion would be to disable the deck crossover completely and just let the 6.5's play full range. They won't be getting nearly as much power as the speakers up front, which is the main thing.

Ok, before we continue, let's clarify...you have 2 amps, AND a crossover OR do you have crossovers built into the amps?

I have 2 amps and a separate crossover.

Ok, maybe I read your thread wrong at first.

Since you'll only be using the deck power for the rear speakers, you could still enable the crossover on the deck and set high pass (HP) to 80 or whichever one is optional. If only the front speakers can be crossed over, hook up the rear speakers to the front outputs. The only downer is you won't be able to fade...but that shouldn't be a big deal anyhow.

I'm in the LM as well, FYI.
