i am helping a buddie put in his new memphos 6.5" component set into a 90 crx si, i have to install new wire as i will be running the speakers off a clarion amp, my Q is how do i get at the gromit on the side of the car so i can pass the new speaker wire in to the door. Pictures would be a great help.

THe grommets are located under the dash above the kick panels on both side of the car, on the drivers side its hidden above some wires and relays , and on the passenger side you should be able to see it with a flash light. The easiest way to fish wires into the doors is to use some type of snake tool, I only had a coat hanger available to me so I ended up cutting the factory rubber wire protector that runs between the door and the door jam, I then found it easier to snake wires into the doors and when i was done I simply replaced the rubber cover with some wire loom. Just make sure that if you cut the rubber cover that you leave the rubber grommits in the door and the doot jam other wise you will get water leaks.
