cut outs??

hey guys.. i got a lil problem here... im running 2 12" pioneer spl subs 2000max. i have the alpine mrv-1507 amp running them. i wired everything up into 4 ohm my gain is at 1/4 and it keeps cutting out and then coming back on.. any ideas?

What did you do with your 12W0's ?
What light comes on when it cuts out?
What is your power wire situation?
Stock alt.?
Oh yeah, nice new subs by the way!

i sold the 2 jl's.. anyways the protection light comes on and blinks red till it kicks back.. during thbis the subs make a wierd bumping sound.. i am running 4 gauge power wire.. i have a cap as well and i just cant seem to think what is wrong..

Make sure you have a good ground on your amp

Are the subs single or dual voice coil and what impedance per coil?

Sounds like a ground problem... Check your ground connection and make sure its good before looking at the other possibilities.

Can we get some ice for the burn on the 1507? I wouldn't say they are known for poor reliability. Every problem I've seen with a 1507 was due to people running them improperly Which would create an ESO problem.
Equipment superior to operator.
