Dash Speakers in a 2004 Dodge 2500
I would like to do that but i'm trying to piece this system together with leftovers and I've got a nice set of Polk 4" components and a decent set of Polk 6.5 coaxials for the doors. I'm gonna run an Orion Cobalt 50x4 amp on them and then a either a S12L7 or 2 12" Orion XTR's powered by a XTR400. I think it's gonna sound pretty good for a bunch of stuff collecting dust right now.
I got the system in today. Put the 4" components in the dash,(with a little trimming) and the 6.5" coaxials in the doors. It sounds pretty good, nice and bright. The dash speakers really bring the sound up. Right now i'm running 2 12" Orion XTR's in a 2 cube sealed box. I'm pretty dissapointed with the bass output, I think it's a combination of too small a box and not enough power. I'm gonna try my S12L7 tommmorow.
Has anyone ran a XTR400 2 ohm mono? Is it ok? I hooked it up 2 ohm mono and popped the fuses right away. They were 2 20 Amp fuses, sounds a little on the small side so I'm gonna replace them with 30amp.
