Deck Cage Rattle
Deck Cage Rattle
So i did my very first install in a Toyota Matrix. Deck is a JVC G230, using an American International Dash Kit.
I slid the cage into the kit first, but I was a bit confused about the tabs and which way to bend them. Thus I ended up only bending the top front tabs upwards which secures it to the top of the dash kit. I didn't bend the other tabs because they don't touch any other part of the kit.
Now when I drive on unsmooth surfaces, I can heard rattling which is clearly caused by the cage. Thus, I want to ask you guys if those tabs are supposed to be bent inwards so that it's touching the deck?
There is also a two places on the sides towards the back which you can screw in the dash kit to the deck. Should I have used that too?
