Did I screw up?
I got a new car coming in 2 weeks. I'm very excited and planning to get going on the install right away. Recycling my old subwoofer but otherwise I've purchased a new HU, component speakers and an amp. Amp is Alpine pdr f-50, 4 channel amp, can configured into 4/3/2 channel. I'm planning to run my front components and the sub. When bridged its 250w 4ohm stable. Plenty of power for this guy.
However I just checked old sub and I realized its DVC 4 ohm. For some reason, I always thought it was 2ohms! According to alpine PDR manual, when bridged its 4 ohms only. Just spent last 30 mins looking through manuals and google but I'm getting some mix messages. I'm pretty sure I can't hook up 4 ohm DVC sub to 4ohm amp.... Right? Did I screw up or is there a way to make it work? Thanks in advance |
