Dodge deck wires

i have to put a deck into a older dodge. and i dont know which wires go where? i know the obvious ones, Power, ground. but if someone would know which color means which that would be awsome. or should i just hook it up to what makes sence to me and try it? or could i wreak the deck??

Model and year of the Dodge?? It makes a difference between models and years, and hooking up wires when you don't know where they're going or what they're controlling is just asking for trouble

You need something like this. Problems solved. Hardwiring isn't fun, and generally you can find wiring harnesses fairly cheap. Givin your locale, Best Buy and Future Shop have the BHA1817 in stock, 18 bucks plus tax. Auto Add-ons will have a wiring harness from a different company, same price point. Canadian Tire carries the BHA1817 as well I believe, again, same price range. Once you get the harness, simply match the deck colors to the harness colors, and then plug it in.
