door pannel build

ok so im planning on building door pannels i need some ideas on what to do.. what im thinking is make a cardboard template of the area i want to use and transfer that onto some 1/2" MDF and then mount my rings and stuff to that and making it fit how i want to and make sure my door closes and then mount that to my door... anyone else have some ideas on how i could do this?

im going to have 1 DC 8, 2 super tweets, and 4 5 1/4" per door.

anyone have any ideas on how i could do it? or a link to some good detailed pictures for door build.

Umm... you do know that won't sound any good, right? Is this a show car? Those are the only kinds of cars that would do something like that..

Your imaging is going to suck. You should only have one tweeter per side.

Maybe concentrate on a 3 way system: one 8, one 5.25 and one tweeter. Think about kick panels and A-pillars rather than the huge door panel you are suggesting.

may not be up to the sq standards some of you are accustomed too, but it should get stupid loud and be awesome for open door demos.

Project FYR stage one starting, good luck guys.

Don't cut out more then you need to and use more fiberglass then needed. This past summer I did Mat Romains doors and each door probably got a full gallon of short strand fiberglass and 1/2 a gallon of resin and copped/woven map. Many Many layers.

wtf my last post dident show!!!
anyways, whos the girl with the nice legs in the first pic!! haha

but im not sure how im going to do it i know its going to be alot of weight thats why i was thinkin of mounting everything to the 1/2" MDF and then mounting that to the door, plus that way it will be sealed off very good.. or shoudl i just glass the whole door that i want to use and mount them directly to the door?

there is many ways to do doors. The way I did it was so that I could keep the strength and re-inforce the rear of the rings.
