Extending battery cables

Ok, here's the setup. I have gone out and gotten an Optima Yellow top as the stock hyundai battery just can't handle the load. The big three upgrade and a HO alternator are next.

Small issue, I need to lengthen the battery cables to fit in the new Tsunami battery terminals. the stock cables are 4 gauge and I have some 4 gauge left over from a recent rewire. I just need to know the easiet way to join the 2 bits. Not the cheapest, the easiest.

I would never do this myself but it may work. Take 2 ring terminals, 1 on each piece of wire, and bolt it together. Be sure to heat shrink the hell out of it. If not then I guess electrical tape.

A fuse holder would probably be the best choice in my opinion, its relatively cheap and would be the cleanest method of install.

find a 4 gauge butt connector and prepare to be razzed and teased about it.
