Ok I'm building a custom fiberglass box
it will hold 1 10 JL Audio W3D2 with a JL 250/1 powering it

the box volume is hard to get but its roughly 17x15x8 and fiberglass is about .25 thick
if my math is correct 1.1 cubic feet

specs on JL's web site say 18x11x9 using .75 thick MDF
if my math is correct .844 cubic feet (but they say .625)

forgot to minus sub 0.05

but anyway is my box too big do I stuff with 1-1.5 pounds of polyfill like everyone says even if my box is bigger then JL recommends

Try it - one of 3 things happens:

1) Sounds worse - take the fill back out.

2) Sounds better - score! Leave the fill in.

3) Sounds the same - bummer, out $5. Your choice on whether to leave in or not.
