The Fluke 12 is a solid DMM, with a lot of features, but not a lot of buttons. if you haev to ask, then I would recommend that one. I have a fluke 77, and love it.

I have a 111... any of that series (110, 111, or 112) will do just fine without draining your wallet - they're all true rms with min/max hold as well.
