Fuse help?

In a perfect world all stereo's would be protected by them, unfortunately some people will not pay that kind of money.
Basically with a fuse they are designed to burn up (fuse is a french derivitive of the word burn) so what happens is that as your stereo draws more current it will cause the fuse to heat up which causes resistance to go up and thus more voltage drop. Which then starts you on the cycle of death. Mind you this happens pretty much all the time, even at lower volumes, however as you turn it up and require more amperage the problem magnifies and you drop even more voltage when you need the power the most. This is not a design flaw in fuses, this is the way they are made. They really are not suitable for car audio, but they are cheap and were all we had available for a long time.
Some competitors using ICB's include Mark Eldridge and Gary Biggs, I have a 250 amp one but have not installed it yet. I was going to go with a 100 amp one because for music they will allow more current to pass for 15 seconds which would be fine for music, but I thought if I ever did SPL comps it might trip when I don't want it to.

Well I emailed soundgate about the product and I was directed to call Matrix Trading Co. to find my nearest retailer in Ontario. The thing is the number is 519 area code so its gonna be long distance. I dont feel like making a long distance call cause who knows how long I will be held on the phone for. If anyone knows of a place in ontario that sells the ICB500 please let me know as this is definitely something I want in my system.
Hey Man,
that would be awesome if you could call them. I want to find out where I can get an ICB500 in the GTA and how much its gonna cost. The number is 519-941-8801 and its Matrix Trading company i think.
Thanks
