To fuse or not...

So fusing all the new wires is "Big 3" upgrade is vital for protecting my vehicle. Why the hell hasn't this been mentioned before? I've seen umpteen posts on this subject, yet this is the first time I've seen any one mention fusing those new wires.

Would this work for fusing those lines, or would a different fuse be more appropriate?

You only need to fuse the Alt to Batt wire not the other 2, it's the wire carrying the positive feed that could lead to problems.

I'll look for the fusable link this weekend, I am still sure from memory there's nothing on the wire but ill check and post.

alot of cars don't have a fuse to the alternator, fords do so buy a ford dammit!

the fusible link is nice but you should be looking for fuses (ANL, AGU, etc.), they are a true commercial commodity, you can put in a bigger or smaller fuse in a common holder in 20 seconds. fusible links are nice for static systems not for people who might change their power demands. I would worry about fusing the + line to the amplifier more than any other.
Not everyone fuses the line from alt to battery with a big 3 upgrade, it is not a must do... it is a should do

If you like fires.... don't worry about the Fuse, LOL..
