Sound Stream TA880.2 Very clean power. You cant beat it for the price. I have it running a single vgw12 600 rms and pounds nice.

I was just looking at one of these today:

Crossfire VR4000D That should do you nicely

Or you could just run some amp by Alpine.....I guess...

Concept CA525M - 525 watts rms @ 2ohm. Just did a Type R 12" in a slot port box powered by one of these amps in a 93 Stealth, customer was more than impressed. Amp carries a 2 year warranty on it.

very good suggestions, I was browsing ebay and I came across Audiobahn A8000T 800 Watt 1 Channel Amplifier (the price is right $169US), also the Rockford Fosgate 1000bd except for some reason every Fosgate amp that I had after 10min you could boil eggs on it if ran at 2ohm? Last amp I had was the ZR360 but that one went to my friend for his 12" JLW3-did a good job?

Heres the specs for the Audiobahn

# 800 Watts x 1 @ 2 Ohms Bridged. Maximum Power about 2x
# Introducing Class A/B MOSFET Circuitry for best sound.
# PWM MOSFET Power Supply for Power Reliability.
# D ouble Sided Glass Epoxy Printed Circuit Board
# Total Harmonic Distortion 0.02% & S/N Ratio: >100dB
# 10Hz - 40KHz Frequency Response:
# 50Hz - 750Hz Variable 18dB Hi-pass Crossover:
# 50Hz - 120Hz Variable 18dB Low-pass Crossover:
# Bass Boost on / off Feature for control flexibility
# Subsonic Filter from 20Hz - 50Hz for cleaner sound
# RCA Throughput Connections for additional amplifier
# 3-way Protection Circuitry for Thermal, Short Circuit & Overload
# Cooling Fan with Cobalt Blue Illumination
# High Gloss High Quality Chrome-Plated Finish
# Air Induction Fan Cooled Temperature Control
# RCA and Speaker Level Inputs for Installation Flexibility

Auction if for One Brand New Audiobahn A8000T Car Audio Amplifier

"Pair of White Gloves" LOL

IMO, there is better out there for the money to push a type-r. Check the for sale section.
