ground arching
 

hello all,

I recently finished installing my system, but I seem to have a major issue with grounding. No matter where i ground my amp (eclipse 4x100) it arches, and then gives the wonderful engine noise. I know I have good grounds, so my question is could it be the amp??

did you run your power wire and your rca's on the same side of the car?...

power is run separate from the other lines. My guess is its a ground loop. I get the typical engine noise when the ground to the amp is connected. When i disconnect the ground, the engine noise goes away.
