Haunz's cheap a$$ fiberglass solution
It seems to me that fiberglass cloth is way overpriced no matter where I go... I like using stuff that is cheap or free...
A little research found that hemp cloth is often used instead of fiberglass because it's cheaper, lighter, and just as strong....
cheaper and lighter definatly sound good to me...
I'm going to see if I can find some tomorrow, and will probably also try some cotton cloth (also cellulose) and maybe try some synthetics like polyester..... (makes sense- resin contains it)
Future installs may mean a trip to the salvation army for material instead of the hardware store...

Polyester will be dissolved by the resin. Result = goo.
Cotton and any other cloth will have to be used in small sections over curved areas as it will not conform.
And I dunno, I pay under $5 a linear yard for 1.5 oz matte which IMO is one of the least expensive parts of any install that has glass in it... [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img] Plus most materials cost more than that.
