Head Unit to Amp Help
I've recently purchased a Clarion NX702 head unit for my Audi A4. Before I install it, I want to get the wires for the amplifier plugged in (to save time when installing an amp in the future).
The head unit has three sets of red white female RCA adapters that in the wiring diagram show connected to a 6 Channel amp. Is it possible to instead wire to a single channel amplifer, such as the MB Quart Fx1.700? And if so, how would I go about wiring the RCAs from the head unit?

Do you only plan to connect one amp that has only one channel ? Will you be running the mids and highs with the speaker level outputs from the 702 ?
The RCA cables are colored - Gray is for front speakers, Black is for rear speakers and Purple is for the subwoofer. You hook an RCA cable to the ones on the 702 and run it back to your amp and hook it to the input RCA jacks on the amp . I wouldn't recommend hooking them to the radio and leaving the other end unhooked but if you do you will have to cap the ends for the amp so they can't short out on anything.
