I bought a used Sony headunit from a friend but he didn't give me the cage. Do I have to go buy a cage to get this installed or is there a way to install it without a cage? I am sorry, but I am new to this and don't know what I am doing.

Why don't you call him back and get the cage?

Otherwise sounds a little hot to me...ask for a copy of the receipt while you're at it.
