Well im pretty new to the car audio stuff but have been playing music for a long time, recently i put in an amp myself and made sure nothing was wrong, i changed my back speakers but, one speaker might have been wired wrong do to the fact that the speaker doesnt have +/-(Pioneer)

is POSITIVE always on the left and neg on the right? for in car speakers?

When i turn my music past half the sub doesnt play and my lights dim to the bass, could it be because i do not have a cap and if so what kind would i need for a 800watt amp?or if that one back speaker that might be wired wrong could cause it to go into protect?
Please Help i think I'm missing out on more bass.

 

do the BIG 3
"Big three" refers to upgrading the gauge of wiring from :
1. Postive alternator to positive battery
2. Negative battery to chassis
3. Adding an alterator to chassis

 

i dont think it is the amp but it might beee, i have 5 gauge wire how do u add an altenator to ur chassis i grounded my amp to my back seat is that good?negative battery to chassssis what will that do?

Lanzar Heritage HRWDC15 Sub 1200RMS but i had a 300rms pioneer ts-306w and it was doing the same thing so sub's power has nothing to do with it.

 

yeah i don't think it is your amp sounds like your ground might be the culprit.

 

I'd check the gain! Plus check and make sure there's no wires touching!

 

my gain is at a bit more than normal about 3/4 of the *** and it is grounded to the back seat theres a bolt dere somewhere that it has been grounded to the power and ground touch justtt the wire not the head

 

to check of if the positive and the negetive are right, hook the speaker up to a 9v battery. If the speaker goes up, then they're right, if it goes down then reverse them.

 

ground the amp directly to the frame somehwere and check/replace negative battery ground....if this doesnt fix it its prolly your amp.
