I just installed 2 amps in my car.

Got a weird buzzing noise coming out of the speakers. The noise intensifies when i accelerate. Amps turn on fine tho.

I'm running 4 gauge power wires from battery to the distribution block. then two 8 guage wires, one going into amp 1( sony explode 500w max for 4 speakers), and the other going into amp2 (mtx blue thunder 280 max for sub). Then i ground the two amps separetly with 8 guage wires. If these info helps.

Okay, looks like buzzing comes from the sony. When i take the sony offline , the sub works fine.

So does anyone know how to get rid of the buzzing??? someone suggested that it was the power wire being too close to the RCAs, but i did run RCAs on one side of the car and Power wires on the other. Thanx for any help!!!

run the right size (errrrrrr EDIT) wire to ground..... why would you run smaller??? Go 4ga... and make sure the ground is not to a seatbelt bolt or that it's RIGHT to paint....
