ok so here it goes...

i got into an accident and i had to take out my subs and amp...so i cut the wires from my amp kit...now im trying to get it back running, i know that the rca cable cannot be re-wired so i bought i new one (monster) and re-wired everything else...i turn on my car, no sound from the subs...

i can see i am getting power cause my amp lights up but there is no sound...i followed my rca cable and it is hooked up to this rca conversion box (install edge IEC AULOC). but that adapter is not hooked to anything but the rca cables...im guessing the reason for my subs not working cause there is no power in that adapter since its not hooked up to anything

b4 i cut the wires, my system was working fine, so im wondering since ididnt touch the adapter b4, it should still work, but its not...anyone have suggestions?

heres the pic of the adapter..

Are you sure that the amp is getting power?
With some amps, the light will turn on only when it receives power from the remote line - the light can be on if there is no power at the + terminal. I have done this before. I had the remote connected, and the - connected to the ground. The amp turned "on" (ie the light came on) and it did not go into protection mode or produce sound.
Check your fuse under the hood. Those have been known to blow in accidents. Or get a multimeter and make sure there is power at the amp.

As for that box, it looks like it might be a high-level convertor. Meaning it takes the high-out of the speakers and converts it to RCA form. If that is what it is, it doesn't need power. It just needs a connection to the speakers.

Does your deck have RCA outs? If yes, go directly to them.
