Okay all of my tweeters are making a noise when there is no music playing. Kinda like a white noise if you will. But it's only the tweeters. The mids are not doing it. Any ideas? here is a list of my set up.
1 Clarion DXZ 715 to an Orion DEQ 30 to my Memphis Belle the front stage is CDT hd 6.5 and tweet and a CDT up stage kit. As well as the CDt SX 100. Makes for alot of passive crossovers. Stinger RCA power and ground (2awg) The ground is on the seat belt bolt. I just cant figure out why it the tweeters only? Ant ideas. |
change tha ground
dont use oem bolts |
Try moving the crossovers away from where they are right now, they may be inducting som ekind of radiated noise. Change the ground for sure,

Hey I had the same issue as this, and I tracked it back and found that with my 2 amps, the one on the subs was fine, and the amp I use for the tweets only had a bad ground, changed locations of the ground and was good to go.
I tracked it by running a separate temp wire direct from the battery to the ground. Also note that If you ground to close to the ground for your sending unit/fuel pump, it will do the same thing. |
Make note to self "when grounding anything, avoid close proximity to factory wiring ground." GOT IT!!

It's hiss and not whine? That is usually a result of a gain being too high somewhere, usually at the amp.
|
The gains are seet at 1/4 or less I don't think it's that But I'll try setting them lower and see what happens. I'm also going to move the ground. But where is the best place to put it?
