Help with rattling

Hi have set up me ford contour with a
Panasonic deck CQ-CB8901U
Phoenix Gold R8.0:4 amp for the fronts
2 sets of Phoenix Gold R6.5 fronts
2 Bazooka ELA1500 mono amps for the sub
2 Phoenix Gold ZR dual 4 ohm subs in a sledgehammer ported box
BazookaChill kit to keep 2 mono amps cool
I also dynamatted the trunk lid
And thanks to the great advise I got from this site I also have the big 3 set-up now
Here is my question the system sounds great inside the car but it rattle lick #@$@ outside ..Do I have to dynamat the whole trunk or is there something else I can do ...Or am I doing something wrong with my set -up..Also Is there any where to get an spl rating on your set up?

where is the rattling noise coming from, that is what you have to deaden the heck out of
for my liscence plate I used foam pads that I got from a factory I worked at and stuck a bunch to the back of the plate and that helped more then anything else
dynamat will help cut down on the rattling and improve the sound inside so stick that wherever you can, all solid metal surfaces

the rattling is the whole rear end of the car the trunk lid viberates like crazy even with the dynamat on it the bumpper pretty much everywhere..Not the licence plate I dynamated that first thing.

my car is like that right now also, I accept it as part of having a sub woofer
If you can hear the rattling over the music then you do have a problem, I don't so I don't worry about it.
Maybe face the sub in the other direction to see how that works. Lower the gain so the sub isn't so loud at high volumes.

well I have a beater car, so I'll do pretty much whatever it takes to at least have it sounding clean inside and out, it has definitely not been an easy task nor am I completely satisfied, yet.

1) Lower trunk latch so that trunk closes more tightly
2) Dynamat/Spray on rubber undercoated entire trunk
3) Fill trunk lid with expanding foam (low expansion)
4) Fill various nooks and crannies inside trunk with foam also
5) Remove rear bumper wrap, play your sub and find where the worst rattles
are coming from these are really what you are after, spray more undercoat
use more foam ( I should own stocks in Mono )
6) I bolted some loose sheet metal together and cut out some rotted rattling
metal
7) While bumper wrap is off, used some brush on undercoating (the stuff in
the big paint can that looks like tar) on backside of it, covering it
completely
8) Removed rear tailight lenses, used weather stripping in the cracks where
air tends to blow out between them and the actual bumper

thats all I can think of that I have done (and I'm not finished yet) if you have others please add to the list... don't be shy and don't be afraid to be up to your elbows in undercoat... everything in this world has a resonant frequency and when you match that thing with a bass frequency it will rattle, like it or not

.: Hope this helps and best of luck :.
