High Input or Low Input ?

Alright I just recieved my 1st ever car amp for my 1st car. Legecy LA 290. Now I was reading in the book, and on the back of the amp, it says to use eather the High Input, or Low Input, and also came with the High Input wires.
What is the difference between the two. What gets better cleaner louder sound, ect ?

1 more question.
On the front of the amp, it has 3 slots. GND REM +12v. GND meaning ground, so just hook a wire to that, and ground to a metal part on the car ?
REM, I don't know what that means, If I can get that clairified.
And +12v means your 12v connection from the battery. ?

THanks.

Low level input will give better sound quality, if you are using factory unit then you maybe cant use low level input, so you need to speaker lead the amp. I will use high level because im stuking with my stock unit..

REM is the remote, or trigger, it will activate amp when theres a 12v signal output from ur headunit or if u have stock unit, then you should find a way to plug it on a cigar lighter to activate the amp.

+12V is the positive side of the battry, and GND is the negative side of the battery, because ur chassis is connected to the negative side, thats why all you have is to connect the GND to ur car's chassis. Be aware that when the engine is running or battery is fully charged, the output voltage could be 13.8V.

If you are going to run high level inputs, you may want to purchase an LOC. If I recall you can run into noise issues using high level inputs and an LOC should help to deal with this issue. I'm looking for backup on this one guys... Heres an LOC on crutchfield. CLICK

Alright, so I should stick to Low Level Input. Does High just make it louder, "high" or what advandages are there?
And for the GND and REM. GND, just run a wire from the amp slot, to a grounded part on the car.
REM, I could use my cig lighter to connect to ?
12+v is the wire that comes from my lead from the battery? Im going to have to buy one of those splitters, ( I forget the proper name now ) because i will be running 2 amps.
Thanks.
