Just wondering if anyone had any experience with HLCDs in a 96-00 style Honda civic or Acura?

I've always loved HLCDs, but never thought the install was possible in my 2000 EL. It looks to me like they would hang really low, and block pedals.

I've seen a few pictures, but only in older civics. Is a HLCD install (ID mini horns) install in this vehicle feasible?

If you can post some pictures of your dash, and underside of dash it would make things easier..

But a few things to watch for..
1) The bottom edge of the dash should be flat, and stay flat to the sides of the dash.
2) have enough depth.. 6"s for the mini's, and 9" for the fullsize as a minimum..
3) Look at the corners under the dash, just above the kick area.. There should be room for the Compression drivers to sit/mount there.. The drivers side is usually not a problem.. But the Air box on the passanger side can be a problem.
4) take a scrap piece of cardboard and cut a strip 2"s high (Assuming mini's, 3"s for fullsize) and about 18"s long.. Using tape, tape the strips to the bottom of the dash where the horns would be.. Test for leg room.. Go for a drive.. See if you hit the cardboard or if they effect your driving..

Thats a quick list of things to check. Civic's are usually fairly easy for horns (From what i have seen).

Oh, theres also secret #5) Buy my utopia's in a month or two. haha j/k.

Well, looked under the dash.. It always seems like it'll work when I picture it in my head, but alas, disappointment strikes again

Its much too low, and there is not much depth there either. Gonna stick with my kicks I think..

UTOPIAS..
Gonna have to get my ID midbass drivers back from california first, They are taking their sweet time :(
