I have one 10" sub that i want to hook up to my computer, the reason why i am doing this is I have 2 12s" in my car. What exactly do I need? How can I convert the house signal from AC to DC? How can I connect the actual sub to the sound card???

right now, i have an old Hitachi HA-270 home audio receiver hooked into my sound card via a custom connector i fab'd up. so the computer, dvd player, ps2, and cd changer are hooked into the receiver and coming out of Nuance B-1's

edit:
soo.. if you have a home receiver and some kind of crossover (and your sub is the right impedence -you dont want to blow your receiver- then you should be good to go)

or you can do a car amp with a 120 converter to 12v and you also need a rca to head phone jack (male jack)

I am going to buy a car amp (very cheap one) and a dv converter power supply, changes current from ac to dv (to 12V) I should be set then, correct?

nope, Starterwiz i did not get a dvd.. but they were bought back in 2004. was the free dvd a promo i missed out on?

i love them to death though! i'm building my home system as i go, working on a decent 5.1 receiver next.. and my future speakers to add to the system will definately be Nuance, even on the older amp they sound GREAT.. i cannot wait to get them hooked up to a newer receiver, with better s/n!!

Just have to make sure that the power supply (AC to DC converter) will have enough output to feed the amplifier other wise you may run into problems and could possibly blow the amp up or fry the power supply.

thx a lot guys, the power supply will have enough power. 12V dc (15 to be exact) and 25amps output. it has enough power.
