how to change 6 by 9
how do i remove the 6 by 9 speakers from the back of my car. do i have to take out my bench seat or just the trim and stuff around. I have a 2006 pontiac pursuit with 60 / 40 seats someone please help
I have an 06 MonteCarlo and I had to remove the rear seat completely to get out the rear deck cover.. Get out the Big Wrenches. The seat is held in by the same Bolts as the seat belts. I had to have the seat out anyway to run power and signal cables.

Sounds funny but its the downsides with new cars not to many people have played with them yet!

I got this one
I have a 06 cobalt should be exactly the same
fold down the seats, look at the headrests, pull off the plastic covers where the two pieces of metal go into the rear deck, there should be 2 bolts in these just loosen them and slide the head rests out.
Then look at the pillars by the window there are plastic caps near the middle of the pillar, pop these off and underneith there will be a hex screw undo what and carefully pry those off then I believe that the only thing stopping you from pulling the rear deck off the car is 2 clips which slide out wwhen you pull it up, seatbelts will still be attached to the rear deck though, I just worked around it
