Question How many.....

Hey yall,

I got my mtx 9500 which gives 1000 rms
I am planning to upgrade my amp to a rockford fosgate T20001bd. It gives me 750 rms at 4 ohm since my sub is a single 4 ohm.
My next build will be in a 2004 Ford Explorer. i am ripping out the third row to make room for 1 TC sounds LMS-ULTRA putting 5000w rms. I am going to have to buy a T40001bd and join it with the T20001bd.
I am going to upgrade the alternator.

How many batteries should i have to keep this beast up?

I know that with most companies you can not join two different amps. You may want to look into that.

i am going to use the pass thru from the 4000.1 to the 2000.1.
Why would that not work?

You can jump your RCA's from one amp to the other but you can't join the outputs or combine the outputs of the amplifiers. That is what your post sounds like.

Stinger should make a purpose built high output alternator for your truck. I'll check into that in the morning when they are open again. Consider the big MTX amps to match your subs as well. From what I recall they have a big 2 channel that dishes out some good power in 4 ohm.
