how many channels do i need

how many channels do i need

i have one sub and a component system(it's in a single cab truck) how many channels am i looking for wheni buy an amp

Get a 4 channel, run the component set to the front 2 channels, and then bridge the rear channels to the woofer. Hopefully your subwoofer is 4ohm DVC, that will give you the option of (likely) getting most power from the rear channels, as you can wire it for a 2ohm load.

whats the difference between 2 ohm and 4 ohm, sorry if this is a stupid question lol

It is the measured resistance, or impedance across the voice coil of the speaker. The 2 ohm coil has obviously half the resistance as a 4 ohm coil.

ok i have a 10" infinity 1030w is that 4 or 2 ohm

i would go with 3 mono amps it will look the best 1 for the R 1 for the L and 1 for the sub

yea really though, i have a single cab truck and i already fon't know if i can fit one amp and a sub back there, i'm not gonna try and fit three,

you did not say i have no room and i need to make a setup with that in mined

if you need to do that go with audison srx3

and i would look at the flat subs

My question to you is, Why would you suggest a mono amp for a component set?
